What is どうやって?
どうやって is a set phrase meaning "by what means" or "how" (method). It always asks about the way something is done, not the reason. It is the standard way to ask for instructions, transportation, or process.
どうやって + Verb: どうやって行く？ (How do you go?)
It is the polite, neutral way to ask "how". More casual: どうやって？ alone.
Often answered with ～で (by means of): バスで行きます.

⚠️ JLPT Trap: Don't confuse どうやって (method) with どうして (reason). If the answer involves 電車で or こうやって, you need どうやって.

✓ どうして学校に行きますか (why do you go to school?) (If you mean "why", use どうして; どうやって is "how" as method)

⚠️ Confusing どうやって with どうして is one of the most common N5 listening traps — they sound similar but have opposite meanings.
